Kalika Purana describes a list of Seven very important Shakti peethas in India. This list mainly concentrates on Kamakhya Shakti peeth. Out of the seven, three Shakti peeth of this are present in the Kamakhya yoni mandala (Now called as Gauhati- Asom state capital).
