Ishta Kameswari is a temple of Goddess Parvathi present in the Srisailam forest, towards the south of Mallikarjuna swamy main temple. She is also called as Istha kamakshi.

How to reach Ishta kameswari temple ?

As it is present in the deep forest previously only Sadhus (who are interested in meditation) visited this temple. There is no Road way to it. But, now with the help of Zeeps people are going to this holy place. The journry is very hard. The temple is very small and now we can see it only in the ruined state. But, remembering the blessings of the godess, Devotees who visit this temple are gradually increasing.

The idol of Ishta kameswari looks very beautiful with two lotus flowers, a Shiva linga and Japamala in her hands.

Bhimuni kolanu is a pond present in the Srisailam forest. People climbing Srisailam in the forest root from Kurnool ( via, Atmakur) will stay here and take rest. It is a very beautiful place. The water of this pond is believed to be having medicinal properties. A temple of Bheemeswara is also present here.

This is famous for the Veera bhadra temple present here.
The old foot path to Srisailam from from Atmakur includes Nagaluti, Pedda cheruvu, Bhimuni kolanu, Kailasa dwaram as the sub stations.
