Tirupati is one of the Famous tourist places in India. So many devotees visit Tirupati at least once a year. I too went to Tirupati many a times, and climbed through steps route three times. There are many tourist attractions in Tirupati. This map covers most of them.
How to reach Tiruapati
Tirupati is well connected by Road. Nearest Bus stand is Tirupati Bus stand. A counter of Tirumala Tiruapati Devasthanam is present here to give Sudarshan tokens. It is beteer to have Sudarshan tokens (Kankanas) at Bus stand itself, because TTD is not giving 50 Rs tickets at Tirumala.
Nearest Railway station is Tirupati Railway station. It is one of busiest Railway stations in India. TTD is maintaining a Sudarshan counter here too.
From Bus stand and Railway station there are direct buses to go to Tirumala. We can take a ticket to and fro Tirumala at once.
Nearest Airport is Renigunta Airport. It is at about 20 to 25 km distance from Tirupati.
Important places and Sightseeing in Tirumala
Lord Venkateswara swamy temple : Lord Venkateswara swamy attracting so many devotees through out the world. This temple is the busiest religious place in the world and visitors to Tirumala are increasing day by day. See an old and rare video of Lord Venkateswara swamy
Pushkarini :Beside Lord Venkateswara swamy temple, there is a holy pond called Pushkarini. We can take holy dip in this Pushkarini in non-festival days.
Varaha swamy temple :Varaha swamy temple is present beside Pushkarini. Every one should visit Varaha swamy, before seeing Balaji. This is a boon given by Venkateswara swamy to Varahaswamy. He is the Kshetrapalaka of Tirumala.
Bedi Anjaneya swamy :Bedi Anjaneya swamy temple is present at Dhwaja sthamba of Lord Venkateswara swamy. People offer coconuts and Harati here.

Steps route from Tirupati to Tirumala
Alipiri :This is the starting place to climb Tirumala from Tirupati. We can choose here to go through either steps route or bus route. If there is plenty of time and energy to climb three thousand steps, climbing gives more joy and of-course, avoids vomiting and nausea generated by Ghat route journey. [I wrote this because the 110 curves of Ghat road annoyed me anything like else, from my childhood.]
Galigopuram :This is the old Gopuram and it is present in middle of steps route. All the refreshments will be available through out the route. This Gopuram is previously called as Kali Gopuram. Now that was converted as Gali Gopuram.
Deers park :We can enjoy steps route by seeing deers park. There are so many deers present in this park and we can play with them by offering food.
Mokalla parvatham :Mokalla parvatham is the difficult point in steps route. Steps in this hill are very steep. But after crossing this small place we will reach Tirumala.

Kapila Theertham :Kapila theertham is one of the sacred place in Tirupati. This is present below the Tirumala. Lord Shiva present here in the form of Kapileswara swamy.
Govinda raja swamy temple :Govinda raja swamy is the brother of Lord Venkateswara swamy. His idol in the sleeping position, He slept while he is counting money offered to Lord Venkateswara swamy.
Kodanda rama swamy temple : This is another famous temple in Tirupati.
Padmavathi puram :This is also calleda as Thiruchanur or Alivelu Mangapuram. Padmavathi is wife of Lord Venkateswara swamy. This temple is about 10 km distance from Busstand. We can go here by Bus or Auto. So many devotees came to Tirupati will see this temple.
Srinivasa Mangapuram :It is present about 12 kms away from Tirupati. Lord Venkateswara swamy and Padmavathi devi lived here after their marriage. Kalyana Venkateswara swamy temple is present here.
Narayanavanam :This is the marriage place of Lord Venkateswara swamy and Padmavathi ammavaru (Daughter of Akasaraju). Kalyana Venkateswara swamy temple is present here. It is about 40km away from Tiruapati.
Nagalapuram :Sri Veda Narayanaswami Temple is present here in the form of Matsyavatara. It is about 70kms away from Tirupati.
karvetinagaram :Sri Venugopala swami is present here along with his two wives Rukmini mata and Satyabhama devi. This temple is present about 48kms away from Tirupati.
Appalaya gunta :Sri Prasanna Venkateswara swami Temple is present here. Lord Venkateswara swami gave boons to Sri Siddheswara and other devotees here. It is about 14 km away from Tiruapati.
Tallapaka :Tallapaka is the birth place of Annamacharya. He is a great devotee of Lord Venkateswara swamy and wrote 32,000 poems on Lord Venkateswara swamy. Sri Chennakesavaswami Temple is present in this village. It is present near Rajampeta, Kadapa district (100 kms away from Tirupati).
Kalahasti :Kalahasti is an important Shiva temple near Tirupati. Sri Kalahasteeswara swamy is the deity here. This is one of the Pancha bhuta lingas, and it is described as Vayu Linga. Bhakta Kannappa, one of the 64 Nayanars (Shiva Bhaktas) story is famous here.
Chandragiri fort :This is one of the Historical place near Tirupati. Chandragiri rulers show lot of devotion towards Lord Venkateswara swamy.
Kanipakam temple:Kanipakam Ganapathi is famous as Sidhi Vinayaka swamy. This is a small village and is present about 60km distance from Tirupati. Lord Vinayaka swamy idol is present in a well sorrounding water.
Sripuram :Sripuram is present in Tamilnadu near Vellore. A golden temple of Sri Lakshmi devi is present here. Now a days so many visitors coming to Tirupati are also seeing this temple.
